Description

Luau performers dance on stage at the Myths of Maui Luau in Ka'anapali. The Myths of Maui Luau is held on the lawn of the Royal Lahaina Resort, which sits on twenty-seven lush acres along the world-famous Ka’anapali Beach. With a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and the sound of the distant surf in the background, there is no better place on the island to take in a sunset, relax, and enjoy an evening of food and fun.

The Myths of Maui Luau has been welcoming guests since the early 1970’s, offering a traditional resort style luau to guests seven nights a week. As the island’s longest running luau it has become something of a Maui institution. Over the years the Myths of Maui has perfected their Hawaiian luau. With a menu that reflects the eclectic culinary history of the islands, and a Polynesian show that showcases the music and dance of the south Pacific, it’s got everything that you’re looking for in a luau. And the setting and location just can’t be beat. From the initial lei greeting all the way to the fiery finale, you’ll be glad you decided to join the party.

Two ladies wearing flower leis enjoy and drink and a laugh at the luau. After a warm lei welcome, it’s time to enjoy the live Hawaiian music, the spectacular view and a complimentary tropical drink. The onsite full service bar serves all your favorite tropical drinks, as well as a limited selection of beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages. There’s a group hula lesson held for those who wish to participate and an imu demonstration as the roasted Kalua pig is removed from the traditional Hawaiian in-ground oven.

Traditional Hawaiian foods are on display on the luau buffet. The Myths of Maui all-you-care-to-eat buffet offers a blend of traditional Hawaiian foods such as Kalua roasted pork, Lomi Lomi Salmon, Poi, and Haupia, as well as many Asian inspired dishes and other local favorites. Myths of Maui Luau provides the only keiki (child) friendly menu on Maui, so don’t be surprised to see Mac & Cheese and Chicken Nuggets as well. Many food items are suitable for gluten free, vegetarian or vegan diets and are denoted on the full menu listed below.

A Fire Knife dancer spins a burning torch on stage at the luau. The evening performance is a Polynesian revue which showcases the music, dance, and cultures of Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa, and New Zealand. Enjoy your picture-perfect evening under the stars, while this talented cast of dancers and musicians takes you on a tour through the Polynesian islands. This spectacular show ends with a thrilling Samoan fire-knife dancing performance, the perfect way to bring an unforgettable evening to a close.
