The 2021 Luau Experience

After an unprecedented time off, we are so excited to once again offer our amazing luau experiences to our visitors! Our Oahu luau vendors have made some important changes to ensure guest and staff safety. Let’s delve into further detail about what you can expect.

At all of our Oahu luaus, staff and patrons are given temperature checks upon entry and are required to wear face masks throughout the luau, except of course for when they are enjoying their luau meal. Tables are separated at a minimum distance of six feet from one another and seating is 10 people per table maximum. Furthermore, guests can expect to find multiple hand sanitizing stations throughout the Oahu luau venues.

At our top-rated Chief’s Luau located on the west side of Oahu, staff members undergo pre-show verbal screenings to ensure that they are feeling well before entering the performance space. Moreover, the luau meal is now pre-plated and delivered to the table instead of the traditional buffet style luau meal.

Visitors can expect similar safety measures at our Ka Moana luau located on Oahu’s southern shore. Here, meals are still served buffet style, but rather than all guests lining up at the same time, each table is called one by one. Additionally, though pre-show cultural activities aren’t available like they were the past, performers are still able to provide hula demonstrations at each individual table. Who knows, with these personal lessons, guests may all walk out with some impressive hula skills!

Though the Oahu luau experiences may have changed in some ways, we guarantee you will still have an amazing time. You can absolutely expect fantastic entertainment, impressive hula dancing, and of course everyone’s favorite, the thrilling fire knife dancing! With your safety as our number one priority, rest assured you will be in good hands and go home with memories to last a lifetime.
