Description
This is the perfect luau to book if you're looking for a delicious buffet and an entertainment-filled evening in Waikiki!
The Rock-A-Hula luau is located conveniently right in Waikiki and within walking distance of most major hotels in the area. This luau performance takes place on the fourth floor of Building B in the Royal Hawaiian Center.
The luau ceremony is held on the terrace under a large tent, and guests will move into the Royal Hawaiian Theater for the Rock-a-Hula show. This is one of the few activities on Oahu that isn't weather dependent because both venues are protected from the elements. This is the perfect way to spend a rainy evening or a night out without having to travel too far from your hotel. Check in is not until 5:30 pm, which also makes it easy to coordinate with daytime excursions.
Rock-a-Hula show guests are greeted in the traditional Hawaiian way – with live music, hula dancers and a complimentary Mai Tai!
When you arrive, you’ll be welcomed with a traditional Hawaiian greeting and a complimentary Mai tai (with or without alcohol depending on age). Live Hawaiian music is played throughout the luau and there is also a small hula show during dinner. While there is no imu (earth oven) at this luau, slow roasted Kalua pork is the featured entrée, along with roast beef, chicken, fish, and many other traditional Hawaiian foods and local favorites. This luau buffet incorporates many locally grown or produced ingredients and has one of the best selections of vegan/vegetarian options in Oahu.
Prepare to be blown away by this impressive Las Vegas caliber multimedia stage production! Rock-a-Hula® was designed for Hawaii by the creators of Las Vegas’s world-famous Legends in Concert. This is one of the largest and most highly produced shows in the area. The show features two extraordinary tribute artists who bring Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson back to life right before your eyes. Renowned entertainers Johnny Fortuno as Elvis Presley and Corey Melton as Michael Jackson, both hailing from Oahu, are globally recognized for their exceptional talent and have captivated audiences worldwide for many years with their award-winning tribute performances.
Joining forces with top Polynesian musicians and a vibrant ensemble of stage performers, these skilled tribute artists will bring beloved tunes to life, creating an unforgettable experience in Waikiki with their dynamic performances. Some of the best dancers in the islands will also be featured and will mesmerize you with their Hawaiian and Tahitian hula. Adding to the already incredible lineup, the mesmerizing fire-knife dance performance promises to elevate the show to extraordinary heights, showcasing yet another awe-inspiring facet of talent on the stage. Following the performance, guests will have the opportunity to meet with the ensemble of gifted performers.
Prepare to be swept away by the blend of Polynesian beats and classic rock and pop melodies, guaranteeing a toe-tapping experience that will keep you fully engaged. And don’t miss the thrilling fire-knife performance, sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. Rock-a-Hula is a phenomenon you will not forget!
After dinner, there is a short break to give guests a chance to find their seats inside the Royal Hawaiian Theater.
