A luau is one of the best ways to celebrate a trip to Maui. It’s a Hawaiian feast that features lively music and cultural performances from Hawaii and the greater Polynesia.

A sumptuous buffet dinner will be served to complement the show concept.

Our award-winning performers will amaze and entertain you with a spectacular display of songs and dances from Hawaii and Polynesia at the Huaka’i Luau – Journey Through Polynesia.

Help yourself to a multi-course hawaiian-american buffet…a combination of traditional island dishes and continental fare

When you arrive for the luau, you’re given a chance to take part in traditional cultural activities like lei making, poi and lomi-lomi salmon samplings, temporary tattoos, and hula and ukulele lessons.

Your traditional feast includes an astounding array of local produce and traditional foods to choose from, like lomi-lomi salmon, fresh taro rolls, poi, fresh vegetable stir-fries, grilled mahi-mahi, kalua pork, and much more. There is a fully-stocked bar featuring the famous mai tai cocktail, as well as a range of wines, beers, and other drinks.

Buffet selections include seasonal fruit salad, fresh island greens salad, local sweet potatoes, island-style taro rolls, teriyaki chicken skewers, fresh mahi mahi with papaya mango salsa, and juicy kalua pork.

The performers of the fire knife ritual dance while spinning and twirling the knife and performing acrobatic stunts. The Ka Moana Luau experience is a night you’ll never forget!

Huaka’i Luau – Journey Through Polynesia plays weekly at the Seascape Restaurant at Maui Ocean Center. It is the closest Maui Luau Kihei.

How long does a luau last?
There are many luaus out there for you to enjoy. Some of them can last up to 3 hours, but most only take about 2 1/2 -3 Hours!
