Looking for a unique luau experience on Oahu?
Mauka Warriors Luau has everything you want and expect in a luau: the food, dancing, and music, plus a little something extra. That something extra is a focus on Polynesia's history of wars, warrior culture, and martial arts. This historical emphasis adds that extra touch of authenticity, which sets the Mauka Warriors Luau apart from other luaus on Oahu.
Though warrior culture was once an important part of Hawaiian life, its teachings and traditions were suppressed in the 1800s and almost forgotten. Mauka Warriors Luau is committed to honoring these traditions and teaching this rich history to others. Mauka incorporates these traditions throughout the evening luau. They teach ancient martial arts during the pre-dinner cultural activities and incorporate bits of history and battle reenactments throughout the evening performance.
The luau grounds themselves were even once the site of an important battle, though today it is home to the Hawaii Country Club. The club is located in Wahiawa, around 22 miles from Honolulu and Waikiki and just 12 miles from the resorts of Ko Olina.
Roundtrip shuttle service from Waikiki and Honolulu are available for an additional $30/person.
The luau is held outdoors on the great lawn, which offers a spectacular view of the Honolulu skyline and the always vibrant Hawaiian sunset. The Hawaii Country Club offers disc-golf and mini-golf courses, which Mauka Warriors has incorporated into the pre-dinner games. Luau guests are also given complimentary access to play in these areas.
Mauka Warriors Luau offers a number of hands-on cultural activities before dinner begins. Learn about Polynesian culture with temporary tattoos, cooking activities, Maori games, and even lessons in the ancient Hawaiian martial arts (subject to instructor availability). There are also some mini-golf and disc-golf challenges that guests can choose to participate in and win prizes.
The all-you-can-eat luau buffet offers a number of traditional Hawaiian luau foods such as slow-roasted Kalua pork, taro rolls, and poi, as well as a number of complementary dishes that are local favorites. Adult beverages (cocktails, beer, and wine) and non-alcoholic beverages are available and included.
The evening show has everything that you’d expect at a luau and more. Live music, a talented cast, intricate costumes, and a line-up that showcases the various forms of Polynesian dancing, including a thrilling fire-knife dancing performance to end the night. However, Mauka Warriors Luau seamlessly incorporates Polynesian culture, history, warrior traditions, and battle reenactments into the show, making the performance anything but typical. You won’t find a luau show quite like this one anywhere on Oahu!
Mauka Warriors Luau offers three different seating packages.
Koa Experience (Classic Package): Includes classic seating, a sea shell lei, one adult beverage, an all-you-can-eat Hawaiian Luau buffet, complimentary digital photos, free play mini golf, and disc golf.
Ali’i Experience (Premium Package): Includes premium seating, a Kukui nut lei, two adult beverages, an all-you-can-eat Hawaiian Luau buffet, complimentary digital photos, free play mini golf and disc golf, and a souvenir gift (for an additional $30/person). One gift per party of 4.
Mo’i Experience (Royal Package): Includes seating closest to the stage, a fresh flower lei, a welcome Mai Tai and three adult beverages, all-you-can-eat Hawaiian Luau buffet, complimentary digital photos, free play mini golf and disc golf, a premium souvenir gift, and access to the bar ‘express line’ (for an additional $60/person).

Special Considerations
- Dress Code: There is not a dress code, but it is a celebration so most guests wear nice dinner clothes.
- Inclement Weather: The luau runs rain or shine, and may continue even if there are light, passing showers. Mauka Warriors Luau reserves the right to cancel or modify the show at any time for weather or safety-related issues. The reservations department will contact you if there is a cancellation due to weather.
- Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made 24-hours in advance of the luau date, will receive a full refund. If your cancellation is less than 24 hours in advance, we will not issue you a refund. No shows are non-refundable. Rescheduling is allowed within 24 hours prior to the luau date.

Round-trip transportation is available from several convenient pick-up locations in the Waikiki/Honolulu area for $30/person.
