Description

Its convenient harbor-side location, proximity to Waikiki, and short length (just over two hours) also makes it easy to coordinate with any boat tours, excursions, or other activities that you may have planned.

Ka Moana Luau (formerly located at Sea Life Park) is now conveniently located only four miles from Waikiki. Guests can experience their luau and award-winning Polynesian show at their brand-new space in the heart of downtown Honolulu – on the grounds of the historic Aloha Tower.

The Aloha Tower is a local landmark and a former lighthouse which overlooks Honolulu’s bustling harbor. Today this classic art deco-style building serves as both a marketplace and a popular tourist destination. It houses many shops and restaurants, and now serves as the new home (and backdrop) of the Ka Moana Luau.

A lei greeting and live Hawaiian music will welcome you as you enter. Ka Moana Luau offers many hands-on cultural activities and crafts – such as hula lessons, lei making, and Polynesian tattooing.

Mai Tais and other tropical cocktails are available, as is beer, wine, and soft drinks.

The buffet features many traditional Hawaiian foods, such as roasted Kalua pork, Lomi Lomi salmon, Poi, Poke, as well as many other local favorites. In addition to the new venue, Ka Moana Luau has also upgraded and expanded its buffet offerings to satisfy a more refined palate. They have also added many more organic, locally grown or sourced ingredients to their menu to make it a farm-to-table dining experience.

Performers in Hawaiian dress pass fire from torch to coconut to begin the luau ceremony. Join us on a voyage across Ka Moana (the ocean) and experience the cultural chants, dances & songs from some of the many islands that make up Polynesia. Witness the beauty of Hula ʻAuana from Hawaiʻi, the fast-paced ʻoteʻa from Tahiti, impressive Samoan fire-knife performances and more!

Ka Moana offers three tiered packages: Classic, Splash, and Celebrity. The Classic package includes a shell lei, one drink ticket, access to the cultural activities, the luau buffet, and the Polynesian show. The Splash package includes all of the above plus slightly better seating and an additional drink ticket. Finally, the Celebrity package includes a fresh flower lei, a complimentary Mai Tai, table service, and seating closest to the stage.

Getting There

Ka Moana offers round-trip transportation from several pick-up locations in the Waikiki and Honolulu area. This is the easiest and most comfortable way to get to the luau and can be added to your reservation during the check-out process.

If you decide to drive yourself, public parking is available nearby, with Piers 5 and 6 being the closest. Public parking is $6.00 per hour. Valet parking is also available on site for $10/car.

Taking an Uber/Lyft is also an option, a one-way ride from Waikiki will cost around $15-$25.

24 hours advance notice of cancellation is required. Cancellations on behalf of Ka Moana Luau will result in full refunds.

Cancellations must go through Ka Moana Luau. No cash surrender unless at least twenty-four (24) hours advance notice of cancellation is given. No-Shows and cancellations received within a twenty-four (24) hour period are subject to the entire activity cost and processing fees. No same day cancellations will be accepted. Cancellations on behalf of Ka Moana Luau will result in full refunds.
